There is really not much going on this week. I'm 7 days away for my birthday and the week before a birthday usually consist of anticipation. So I guess "nothing" would summarize this week pretty well.

Thursday Has Survived | The Fossil: Eli
Finally came around listening to CD 2 of the inspiring James Holden take on the balance series mix compilation! I instantly remembered from the first second why this CD is my favorite! Much darker and powerful than the first one, CD 2 absolutely smashed my memory at the time! But the piece of absolute perfect art, edited by James himself to fit in in the sphere of the album, must be Ficta's "Eli"!
Everytime I put this one, my youth comes back to me episode by episode. Best purchase of 2011!
Every Thursday I'll post a classic house track to bring that nostalgia to surface.

Thursday Has Survived | The Fossil: These Days
Although this mix compilation is from 2003, I listened to it in 2006. It completely blew me away. Until then, I've never heard this fine form of progressive EDM before. I listened to it every day, until it somehow vanished during one of my pc crashes. Now 5 years later, I've received the hard copy in my mailbox!
The balance series have been the absolute standard for a good mix. I've only had the time to listen to one half of the compilation, but it already brought 100% nostalgia! My favorite of CD 1 has to be "These Days"...
This version is from the Holden mix. The "You're Sleeping" vocals that kick it off and the Japanese train announcer that introduces the follow up track. This compilation is of sincere unique value. Glad I have it now on CD's to make my kids fall in love with it.
