Normally, I would place my upcoming soon post. I'm going to do things slightly differently. Instead of posting all of my upcoming features, I'm just going through upcoming tracks that will determine the quality of house year it's released in. In other words, the greatest tracks of the future!
Enough talk, let's see what evolution got to bring:
Swedish House Mafia & Knife Party - Antidote
After the soft melodic release of "Save The World", the world was afraid Swedish House Mafia would go soft. But the trio, accompanied by the brutal "Knife Party, has struck bad incredibly hard at the negative vibe ""Save The World" has created. The sickest track I've heard thus far. The uplifting, heart pulsing vibe of the breakdown is followed by one of the most aggressive drops ever heard in house history. One of the many tracks I need to hear live!
Every Saturday I will post a track that will have a (r)evolutionary impact, when it hits the charts

Thank You Doorn Records!
To celebrate the european qualification of The Netherlands, both Sander Van Doorn's and my own home-country, Doorn Records had come up with a RT competition on Twitter. They're willing to print a limited amount of three orange "Sander Van Doorn" shirts. And I got one of them!!!
I'm all geared up for the upcoming UEFA European Football Championship and the next SVD Album that also will be in my mailbox this week!

Nocturnal Disaster: The Death Of Clublife
It's a very rare thing when a music video sticks with me. It's even more special when it's a clip for a House song. It seems almost every House Music Video needs weird girls and spastic effects. It rarely contains a message or moves you like art can. But to my uttermost suprise, the video for Natural Disaster from Laidback Luke, was actually pretty damn good!
The video tells the short tale of a boy with a "Laidback Luke" addiction. The director took the popular aspects of a drug addiction, like dealing and parental concern, and formed it into a EDM version of it. At the end of the video, the boy has run out of "Laidback Pills". Instead of descending into misery, he suddenly finds himself at a liveset from Luke. As the video fades out, you can see him disappearing, while in a state of saturation, into the dancefloor.
Nothing really special you say? Well, you need to get the underlying message of the video. Nowadays, Clublife consist of dicks/sluts wearing gold and fake jewelry looking for a fight/dick. The true people who listen and visit clubs with heart, are disappearing as I speak. The fact that this boy is being seen as an addict, just because he lives for EDM, underlines this.
Damn fine video indeed.

Nuit Blance
This has nothing to do with the daily routine of my blog, but this is something I have to share with you.
Monday Has Survived (The Rex): David vs. Goliath
When Swedish House Mafia announced their remix for Coldplay, unofficial bootlegs and mashups started to arise everywhere. All of them sound pretty obvious and messy, unlike the official Swedish House Mafia rework. Now let me start by saying that it is most definitely not a bad remix. It's pretty solid, but I just don't feel it.
The original Coldplay track is far better than the SHM version. So I was a little disappointed. I expected more from these producing giants I guess...Maybe it's just too hard to do a good remix for such an amazing original song, I thought to myself.
Nothing is farther from the truth:
Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (Jerry Rekonius Bootleg) by JerryRekonius
This bootleg from a rather unknown guy called Jerry Rekonius absolutely smashes the SHM rework! It proves that the big producers don't always beat the little ones! Jerry kept the acoustic core of the track and builds a powerful house track around it.
I've already used it in my last mix, that you can listen to here!
Every monday, I'll post a track that will inspire, move and get you through the week!
Survived Events & The ADE
Although they Steve Angello party in Amsterdam was ages ago, I finally came around uploading some footage.
So here is Steve Angello playing One:
Although One might be not one of the most original tracks to post nowadays, it still was one of the most mental drops I've ever experienced. The crowd that was fantastic, the lighting, the prop-cannons, the beer...It was just perfectly awesome!
I've also experienced the mixing abilities of Joris Voorn, and at one moment, he played this unbelievably good track. I've yet to find this ID, but it seems it's top secret. Anyways, here's the footage:
I will be dropping footage regularly from now on. I'm planning to go to the ADE Festival in Amsterdam, that's coming the 19th of October. I've still not decided to which nights I should go, since it's equally good.
But you should expect some footage from Max Cooper, Congorock, Sander Van Doorn, Mark Knight and maybe some Armin Van Buuren!
